Seasons

I based the illustrations for this was a seasonal calendar on the pagan wheel of the year. The 12 months were divided into 4 seasons and each season was done using a different illustration technique : Fall - watercolor, Winter - stenciling, Spring - collograph printing and Summer - acrylic cell block painting

My Amish Penguin Friend

...No real purpose behind this. Drew a penguin and thought he'd look good in a hat.
Reminds me of something out of Courage the cowardly dog.
My sister made this sketch into a cute little sculpy figure.

House on the Hill

This was the background for a scene of an animation I did while interning in the animation department at Future TV in 2009 . I really liked the mood created for the animation and after Limbo came out that is all I can think of when I watch it.

Dracula Fighting Nostalgia

This was based on Dracula's Castle as depicted throughout the Castlevania video game series.

Pen and ink which was scanned and colored in photoshop.

Magazine Seperators

These were intended to be the separators for Travel and the Agenda section a magazine.

This Bird's Nest

This is a logo for an online alternative accessory shop. After inking the original pencil sketch, color was applied with watercolors. Typography and additional elements were later added in photoshop.

Nabaa Water Tower

World Vision commissioned me to work on the Nabaa water tower in an effort to clean up the neighborhood.

For the project I had to figure out how to transfer an A2 drawing onto a 20 by 12 meter rounded surface. After the initial black and white sketch was done using pencil and markers I scanned it into photoshop and cleaned it up. I to cut up the drawing into manageable sections I would later print to size. In all there were 34 sections which were printed. On site I began rolling out the different sections onto the tower starting from the bottom up. For each section I would roll it out, taping it to the tower surface as I go. Once taped firmly I began cutting over the lines of the drawing and

transferring the newly cut line on the tower using a pencil. This step could be compared to stenciling. This was done for the 34 sections until the entire drawing was transferred onto the tower. The water based paint was applied using medium sized rollers and size 12 paint brushes for the details.
